Crafted from sustainable and solid Mango wood, the proportions of the Cartmel Chopping Block lean towards that of the sought-after butcher's block quality and aesthetic.

The natural and character inducing grain of the wood, coupled with an attractive and traditional design allows the Cartmel to be styled as part of the kitchen decor whilst its smooth finish and carved finger grip provides practicality in its use.

At 4.5cm thick, its weighty and substantial form is reassuring to the touch; providing a durable and notable presence on the kitchen countertop and dining table for many years to come.

All of our wooden boards are left natural and untreated so that you may decide to either leave your board untreated or apply a protector that is most suitable for your individual requirements. If leaving the boards untreated, they will, like any wood, be more prone to staining by greasy foods. To nourish and help protect the wood, we recommend the use of a food grade mineral oil prior to use and periodically thereafter. This may deepen the colour of the wood.
