- As with any reclaimed item, its former use will have caused wear and tear and so it is always best to be aware of what (if any) these areas are prior to use
- As these are genuine reclaimed pieces, the wood may contain, knots, splits or cracks. The metal strapping on some may be incomplete, worn and have rusted
- May contain traces of sand from its former life as a brick mould – this is easily removed using a stiff brush if necessary. Adding a layer of clear protective wax and buffing will add lustre whilst bringing out the grain of the wood
